Kathie Russell

Kathie Russell, Raleigh AttorneyKathie L. Russell is the founding and managing partner of Russell Goetcheus & Associates, P.C.. She concentrates her practice in Real Estate, Business, Entertainment and Contract Law.

Kathie graduated from UNC Chapel Hill School of Law in 1994, where she was a member of Holderness Moot Court Negotiation Team. In 2006, she was elected to the Chatham County Board of Education and currently serves as its chair. She serves on the board of directors for ChathamArts and Shakori Hills Grassroots Music Festival, as well as various local and political committees and boards.

Kathie has three children, Greyson, Zoe and Kalie and enjoys spending time with them, reading, gardening, snow skiing, water skiing and travelling.

Susan Goetcheus

susan-headshot-500x500Susan L. Goetcheus received her B.A. in Philosophy, with a minor in Religion, from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1989. She received her J.D., cum laude, from North Carolina Central University School of Law in 2006. During law school, Ms. Goetcheus was a member of the Law Journal, a constitutional law research assistant and interned at the North Carolina Court of Appeals for the Honorable Martha A. Geer.

Ms. Goetcheus is a board certified family law specialist.  Ninety percent of Ms. Goetcheus’ practice is devoted to family law, including child custody, child support, alimony, equitable distribution, absolute divorce, domestic violence, termination of parental rights, adoptions, separation agreements, property settlements and prenuptial agreements. She prides herself on being responsive to the needs of her clients by returning phone calls promptly, billing efficiently and litigating effectively. Ms. Goetcheus represents individuals pro bono through Project Together and the Volunteer Lawyers Program. She lives with her husband, Richard Marshall, their three children, Matilda, Lucy and Harry and their three dogs, Otis, Ziggy and Daisy.

Jennifer D. Probasco

Jenn's headshot 3Jennifer D. Probasco received her J.D., from Nova Southeastern University with Pro Bono Honors. During law school she was a member of the Public Interest Law Society, the Environmental Law Society, the Criminal Law Society, Florida Association of Women Lawyers, Business Law Association, and Phi Alpha Delta. Ms. Probasco attended Elon University School of Law as a Third Year visiting student and interned with Legal Aid of North Carolina in Greensboro, NC.

Ms. Probasco is a general practitioner handling a variety of legal matters. Some of her practice areas include criminal defense and traffic matters, Juvenile abuse and neglect, personal injury and worker’s compensation, labor and employment matters, Social Security disability, insurance matters, health law, landlord and tenant matters, immigration, civil rights and general civil litigation.

She lives with her husband, three year old son, and a border collie named Mia. In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys completing DIY home improvement projects, sewing, and spending time being a mommy.
